2014 Breed Inspection Tour

We have scheduled inspections in four locations - outside Chicago, near Reno, near Atlanta and at the Annual Show in Logan Township, New Jersey. Inspections are for possible inclusion in the IDHSNA stud book and measure whether horses used for breeding meet the breed standard. This year we welcome Irish Inspectors, Mr. Denis Dullea and Mr. Michael Kirwin, both are very experienced inspectors and horsemen.

Our first stop is Friday, October 24 and the host farm is Coyote Junction Equestrian located at 343 South Kinsman Road, Seneca, IL 61360. Inspections will begin at 9:30 am, and a conformation clinic will follow the inspection. Please contact Susan Jensen for more information. Central Region will be handing out IDHSNA items from CafePress to each participant.

Our second stop will be on Sunday, October 26. The host farm is Willowbrook Equestrian Center located at 395 Powell Chapel Road, Villa Rica, GA 30180. Please contact Sue Rowdon for more information.

Our third inspection is Tuesday, October 28 at Franktown Meadows Equestrian Center located at 4200 Old US Hwy North State Road, Carson City, NV 89704. Please contact Sandy Williams for more information.

Our final stop will open our Annual Breed Show on Thursday, October 30 at The Dream Park Show Facility located at 400 US Rt. 130 South, Logan Township, NJ 08085. Please contact Ann Morss for more information.

Come to the inspection and stay for the show hosted by the Northeast Region! We will celebrate our breed with three days of classes including dressage, show jumping, hunters, and in-hand. Meet with owners and breeders, watch the show, and join us for a banquet and silent auction. Check out our show website to see a list of classes and the full schedule.

Friday, October 31 at 7 pm all current members of IDHSNA are encouraged to attend the Annual General Meeting which will take place in The Dream Park Annex located at 400 Rt 130 South, Swedesboro, NJ 08085.

Each inspection site as well as the Annual show is a wonderful opportunity to meet and connect with other Irish Draught and Irish Draught Sport Horse breeders and breed enthusiasts. Get to know the Irish Draught or get to know them better! All are welcome.
