“Fly” is a dream maker, the best of the best. He is the complete package with the presence of a King and captivating ability. Fly will be a jumping machine; that’s obvious already. Extreme jumping talent proven, Fly has cleared a 4 board fence at 6 months old! This fancy, supremely athletic 2017 Registered (Pending) Bay Hanoverian/Irish Draught Colt begs to be a dressage star as well. That same freedom of shoulder required for jumping extends through an elastic back into a powerhouse engine that packs him with the effortless, suspended movement essential for competitive dressage.
Fly is of the most modern type, long-legged and an uphill mover with a gorgeous head and exceptional conformation. He is refinement with substance. When he moves, jaws drop and whispers of “wow” are heard. Suspension, breathtaking movement and four flashy white socks grab attention. His super fine character endears, his sweet and willing temperament is spellbinding. A total “people horse,” this young charmer brightens every day; he showers smiles to everyone’s faces. Super easy to handle and train, Fly marches along on a loose lead ¼ mile away from the barn and buddies by an 8 year old girl. One trainer said, “Fly is more mature-minded and calm than my 3 year old under saddle Oldenburg!” Fly offers sensational abilities and a rare opportunity for the amateur or professional to ENJOY moving up the ranks through jumping, eventing and dressage or take leisurely hacks in style.
Fly is the very best of both his parents, a true stallion prospect. His astonishingly accomplished mother, stunning powerhouse father and champion-packed pedigree make him particularly appealing. Fly’s mother is Good Reason, Imported Premium Candidate Grand Prix Show Jumping Hanoverian Mare who sold in her prime for nearly $200,000 US. Fly’s dam cleaned up in both Professional and Amateur big money divisions internationally in 3 countries, Germany, Spruce Meadows, Canada and the US, in Levels 4, 5 and 6 Jumpers, placing top 3 in most competitions. Good Reason has exceeded “exceptional standards” as announced by President of the American Hanoverian Society and has been awarded the coveted Premium Mare Candidate status and even reached “much higher standards” to achieve Competition Mare Status. Good Reason will be placed into the Main Stud Book with the highest honors awarded in the German and American Hanoverian Societies. A truly special mover, Good Reason has also been successfully trained to 4th level dressage. Good Reason strongly influences Fly. Fly’s grandmother is SPS Minette, a States Premium Hanoverian Mare herself.
Good Reason is sired by Goodman, Hanoverian at the Celle State Stud in Germany. Goodman was Adelheidsdorf 1997 Reserve Champion out of 37 at his Hanoverian Licensing, achieving equally high scores for jumping and dressage. Goodman is a proven producer of both international jumpers and dressage champions. His sire is the German Hanoverian 2004 Stallion of the Year, the famous Premium Hanoverian stallion, Graf Grannus. Graf Grannus is considered one of Germany’s most successful sires, with Goodman listed as one of his top 3 most notable approved stallion sons.
Fly’s sire is the gorgeous Champion black Irish Draught stallion, Bridon Belfrey, RID who has produced champions in Eventing, Dressage and Open Breed Shows. Fly’s grandmother, Flagmount Belle, RID won numerous IDHS(NA) championships and earned the prestigious title of Irish Draught Champion of North America. Her flawless conformation destined all of her foals to win IDHS(NA) Champion or Reserve Champion Foal. Fly’s grandfather, Flagmount King, RID was one of only 2 Grade “A” Grand Prix Show Jumping RID stallions in the world at that time. Fly comes from very strong distinguished jumping lines of Laughton, Tara and King of Diamonds as well as the rare lines of Atlantic Boy and Rusheen Hero. Bridon Belfrey, RID is a brilliant athlete himself proving to enhance dressage abilities, marking him as a great asset to the breed. Belfrey’s pedigree boasts many champion prolific performance sires and dams including the all time greatest producing dam of Approved RID stallion sons in Irish Draught history, Gowran Betty, RID. Gowran Betty, RID paired with one of the most notable jumping sires, King of Diamonds, made headlines with 7 Approved Registered Irish Draught stallions. Royally bred top and bottom, Belfrey is highly regarded internationally by judges and top Irish Draught breeders.

Cricket is a four year old registered with The Irish Draught Horse Society of North America. She stand 16.1 1/2 hands at the withers and is Sired by Salute The Truth who is an advanced level horse. Cricket is out of an Irish sport horse mare that has King of Diamonds in her line. The dam was a successful jumper as well as competing in dressage at I1 and I2.
Cricket has Excellent gaits, the trot and canter are smooth and uphill. She has been schooling around our farm jumping cross country jumps up through Novice level. She goes in and out of our water and is a fairly bold jumper. She hack out in company and alone. She will need a fairly competent and soft ride because at times she can be sensitive. She has taken big steps in her training since she has arrived and I would like to see that continue into her next home; because this young horse has a lot of potential athletic ability!
